Do you "freak out" a little when you think about how to get yourself out onto the World Wide Web?
Are you a “people person” and not a tech person? Do you want (and need) an inexpensive, yet professional web presence?
If so, then keep reading.
Leaders Mynde Mayfield and Wendy Cholbi are experts in building websites AND in communicating effectively with non-technical people.
Here's what you get:
- You'll have the confidence to make better business decisions.
- You'll know that your website is aligned with the true heart and purpose of your business because you created it yourself.
- You’ll have a professional place on the web where you can refer prospective clients.
- You’ll be able to quickly and easily make updates – no need to pay a website professional every time you want to make a little change.
- You can list your web address in all your marketing – business cards, seminar and speech handouts, ads, articles, etc.
- Get paid for services or sell your products online
- You’ll have confidence in your ability to use these web tools – even if you feel like a total beginner right now.
- You won’t have to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars to get yourself on the web.
- Start having two-way conversations with your prospective clients by building a marketing list.
Here's what this course covers:
- Week 1 – Looking at Web Pages with a Web Designer's Eye
You'll look at examples of other websites that were created using the tools you’ll be learning. Using our "Business Tree" roadmap, you'll start to plan your unique web page. - Week 2 – What's Your Unique Message, and Who's it For?
This is the trunk of the Business Tree. These two concepts together will support all your business "branches." Use examples from websites you like and homework assignments to develop a compelling message for your ideal client. Start focusing on a niche and create a strong brand. - Week 3 – Create Your Blogger.com Account
Set-up your Web presence. Walk through a 3-step process to create your account. Learn how to post and edit content. Add content you've developed from week one. - Week 4 – Design Your Web Page
Learn how to design your web page using Blogger's drag-and-drop layout tool. No HTML or programming skills required. We'll take you on a tour of Blogger's settings and configurations. - Week 5 – Integrate PayPal
Open a PayPal account and learn two easy ways to use this service to get paid: 1) Build a PayPal button and add it to your business’s webpage; 2) Send an email invoice. - Week 6 – Add a Newsletter or Mailing List Subscription Link
Now that you've got a web page, we'll talk about communicating with your visitors via email, letting them contact you through your site, and more. The web is more than a two-way street!
